We recognise that the problems of our global environmental are ones in which we all must participate. We, in FRUZI, must do our utmost to make our small contribution in this matter, using biodegradable cups for our smoothies and juices, and wooden (therefore biodegradable) forks and spoons with our fruit salads.

Our priority is to serve you, our customers, in the most honest and professional way that we can. We are happy to inform you that in all our new units of FRUZI JUICE BAR, we have installed three deep sinks with high pressure sprinkler hoses and taps to cleanse our fruits and vegetables to the greatest possible extent. We wash our fruit several times (which is the reason for the three deep sinks and sprinklers) to remove any possible hazard, and in the first wash a very small tincture of cooking vinegar is used as part of the cleansing process. Cooking vinegar sterilises any invisible moulds which may exist even in the freshest fruit. There is, of course, also a fourth sink, or more accurately a wash hand basin, for the hands serving staff. All our staff members are supplied with hygienic gloves and uniforms with hats for hygienic reasons.

We also want to build up a strong connection or bond with the local communities, for example one of our best unit Managers, Betty, in our Ealing Broadway unit, is always happy to advise our local customers, including the parents of the local school children, how to make simple juices and smoothies at home.

In line with EU and the British Government policies, all communities & businesses must make positive contributions to protect our Global Environment. We at Fruzi take seriously into consideration that we must make a contribution not only for the local economy but also that we must make our contribution to the reduction of the pollution of the environment. Therefore we buy as much of the many fruits and vegetables produced as nearby locally in the U.K. as is possible for our juices and smoothies. This is particularly true during the season for apples and carrots. This helps the local economy. Also it helps the global environment in that those ingredients do not use long distance travel by truck or aeroplane emitting carbon monoxide pollutants.

We also want to contribute to a national campaign against obesity, and will strive to improve our menu continuously for this purpose. It is the opinion of nutritionists that we should have five helpings of fruit or vegetables daily and a tasty juice or smoothie can surely be one of those five every day!

For many years our Company Director was a co-founder and a major shareholder in Ireland's largest and most successful juice and smoothie bar. In order to move to England and to establish a new life for herself here, the shareholding in the Irish company was successfully sold and about a year ago the Fruzi brand was born, bringing the best and most successful formulae and experience in juice and smoothie operations to the U.K. Also several senior staff members came with our company director from the Irish company, bringing their passion and experience to our new venture in the U.K.

In order to create a greater variety of juices & smoothies, almost a year long research was done from California to Florida, New York to the Caribbean, bringing secret beauty and slimming recipes of grandmothers and desperate housewives and celebrities to create and to improve the Fruzi recipes for everyone!

We and our staff are always willing to learn about all and any improvements which can be made to our products, from the various aspects of hygiene, safety, health and nutrition. In this regard we, at head office, educate ourselves in the facts of modern scientific research in the fields of hygiene and nutrition. You are perhaps aware that fruit or vegetables squeezed to your satisfaction in front of you to your order is far superior to similar fruit or vegetable smoothies bottled or packaged to be purchased in a supermarket, because the living health-giving enzymes have a very short life after the molecular structure has been broken down in the process of squeezing. In fact these life-enzymes tend, to a great extent, to die within a quarter of an hour or twenty minutes after the squeezing operation. Indeed, in the case of some fruits it may happen somewhat more quickly even than that. This is the reason why fruit or vegetables squeezed in front of your eyes to your own order in FRUZI JUICE BAR, or indeed squeezed by yourself at home for immediate consumption is good for you.

We use the most modern machines to slice and squeeze our fruits and our special machines for oranges assure that the juice is extracted without contact with the outer orange peel or the orange oil in the peel.

It is our opinion that a healthy and balanced diet should include carbohydrates and protein in moderation, and a plentiful supply of fruit and vegetable including juices and smoothies from a FRUZI JUICE BAR, or indeed squeezed by your good self at home, provided, of course, that you consume it immediately after squeezing.
